Hello,
our Eagel get the name "Itchyfeet". We got him in autom 2007. The Bus was a Coach in Germany bevor Tom bring him in to Switzerland in 1996 with 480000km (300000miles). Tom start to renew everything, but the Detroit Diesel was to expensiv, noisy and stinky for Switzerland. Toms plan for a Mercedes Engine and use as Coach again will never comes.
So we get a Eagel a Paintjop and Boxes full of brand new tools. Last Year we get a little Business Breaker (Jay), so Itchy have wait, but slow things come together.
Over Christmas i found a Engine. It was just lots of a Townbus around, wehre i had to cut the engine out. It was a Volvo B10 R with 445000km (278000 miles).
The Statusquo is now, the Engine is in, but the cabels need some love. The Breaksystem is in (most things brandnew) but still problem wit the Springbreak. The "Boogiaxel" (hope is right english) is still parts missing for the suspension and the breakcylinder. The gas and break Pedals are hanging out, need welding. The Dashboard is still a not finished negativ form.
But i still hope, to drive next weekend from workplace to the Parkinspace.

That is a great looking coach ! I believe it is a MOL Eagle ...MOL still has some parts in Belgium ...Most of the Mols had the side entrys ...must be a requirement in Europe ....once again we all need Dan to chime in here and give us the scoop ...but my money is on the MOL ...MOL was building in Europe at the same time we were ...

Thank you so much for starting your project thread. We all are looking forward to the progress and getting to know you.

Dan Lenz told me you purchased a lot of parts from Silver Eagle, now you just need to get it all installed and enjoy her! When I worked in the Czech Republic last year, I toured a very old castle and met some very nice people from Switzerland, not sure they were from, but it was great to meet them none the less.

Stay in touch and post away!

I think this is probably a Mol built bus as it was built after production started in Brownsville in 1974. However, I am not sure when Mol took over Bus & Car. Maybe the VIN plate is still with the bus or the title may show the original manufacturer. I know of a company that had a 1977 Model 05 Eagle with the side doors and the taller windshields and it was a MOL built bus.

The Boogiaxel is spelled Bogie Axle and the suspension and brake parts are still available through Craig at Silver Eagle Bus. Craig is in the process of moving the Eagle factory to Nashville, TN, but I will contact him if you are interested in any parts, just let me know.

I love the picture of the little expert, another Eagle Bus Nut in the making. I always say start them young.

I was just looking over my production records, and they indicate that Bus Serial No. 9662 was built by Bus & Car. I show the last Eagle built by Bus and Car as Serial No. 9755 built in 1977. Mol started production with Serial No. 9756

My records, however; do not show who Bus No. 9662 through 9668 were delivered to. I imagine that all of these buses were probably delivered to the same customer. Peter, you mentioned that Tom brought the bus from Germany, maybe you could find out some more details and let us know. This will help us update the production list that is in the Motor Bus Society Archives. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
