1986 Eagle 10 rebuild

Post by Stuart »

I bought a new to me Eagle 10 "Willie Nelson Style" bus last April. It had been converted from an empty shell in 2005 with a new/newer Cummins M11+ and a 6 speed Allison. When the folks who did a lot of work to it passed away it sat for 5/6 years as a home for wayward squirrels. A temporary owner took out most of the interior and saved the cabinets and some of the lights.  Now I am working on whatever I can fix to get it back into shape. It runs and drives, got it registered and insured and titled. And inspected. The interior is getting the most attention now. A general cleanup, wire brushing and painting the rusty parts, new insulation, followed by new ceilings are next. Then the cabinets can go back in.

Thank you Beltguy. My brain seems to be in a fog these days. Above are before and after pictures of the interior so far. Not as beautiful as lots of others here, but DIY.

Windows will be removed next to caulk frames and stop the leaks hopefully. Also searching for the cargo hatch safety spring catch that I broke while doing an "adjustment" to give it more holding power. It was not able to hold the hatch open and it bonked me in the head once or twice.
