Magnum inverters for sale

Post by benneu »

Have two 12 Volt 2800 Watt Magnum pure Sinewave Inverters for sale.  Both units come with the remote control.  Units are in A-1 condition and I am asking $1400.00 for both including the remotes or $750.00 each including one remote.  Buyer to pay for shipping from California

Wow Ben.  First of all good to hear from you.

Secondly, that sure sounds like a good deal.  Do you have a model number?

They would be Magnum MS 2812's, weighing about 60 lbs each for shipping, and they are about 15 years old. I inquired, but the shipping to Ohio would be $174.84 ground UPS for one. They would be nice, but I think I'll stick with my modified sine waves.

My vague recollection is that the Trace folks started the Magnum company and "improved" on the great Trace inverter.  The Trace pure sine wave inverter would allow you to set the incoming current from a 15 amp 120V house circuit and then make up the difference if current demand was greater that the limit set.  I used to plug into a normal house circuit at a relatives house in Iowa and set the limit at 8 amps.  Any needs above that (like a coffee maker) would be made up by the inverter/house batteries.

I think the later Magnums  pure sine models had this feature, but not sure about early ones.

Hi Jim,
Has been a long time seeing you and Pat.  We actually wanted to come and visit you last year on our way to Nebraska City and Branson.  We stopped at Wayne’s and had to fix the plug for the tow car connection and ran out of time.
The inverters I am selling have the feature you are mentioning in your post.  Lot of people have problems with the shipping cost which are sky high like everything else.  I do not need to sell the inverters right but thinking to bring them to the Gulf Shores Eagle Rally in Alabama to avoid the high payments for shipping.  The model number is 2812.  Thank you again Jim.  Please say hi to Pat from Frea and me.

Great idea Ben.  I plan to have a few things at the rally for sale too. Like a Prolink for Detroit-Allison, New in the box combo washer and dryer among and other things, and I still have the Kar-Kaddy SS KK460SS tow dolly if anyone needs it.  We could set up a table in the club house..
