Rickyoday's 1982 Model 10

I bought this bus from [/b][/size]Danny Schofield Thanksgiving weekend 2021...Danny had the bus almost finished in my opinion, but I am going to make changes to suit my "needs".  I hope to add a larger shower, back up cameras, docking lights, a hitch and towing set-up, updated sound and electronics, as well as possibly upgrading the light bulbs to led... my night vision is not what it used to be!  I'm also looking into the possibility of adding solar to the bus (the new thin, flexible solar panels look very promising.) I hope and plan to make these changes without altering the appearance of the bus as much as possible... I love the classic 'look'!
I'll be off to a bit of a slow start since I had a total knee replacement on Dec.1st. so please bear with me.
I do have a question, the locks for the basement cargo doors are all labeled  ACE, with no other markings, is there a standard key available for these locks, or will I need a locksmith?

Thank you for sharing your  build. The lock looks like the one I put on my 15 and is an off the shelf lock. I will try and get a picture and information  on the lock for you.

Here are some pictures of my lock. They are a little different than  yours. Mine are LSDA tubular cam locks. I don't  know if you can find a key that will work but I bet you can find new locks that will work

Hi Wayne,
Thanks for the info!  I was hoping to avoid replacing the locks if at all possible, mainly because the inside of the doors have riveted covers protecting the entire door and locking mechanism.  I plan on getting a price from a locksmith to make a key, then I'll go with the lesser cost option! I'll be stopping at the bus tomorrow so I'll get a picture of the door covers.
  Thanks again!

These pictures of the destination sign boxes are primarily for Rick, but they may be of interest to others as well. The unit with the covered bare aluminum back is from my 1975 Model 05, and the other with the open back is from my 1982 Model 10. They are essentially the same width and thickness, only the height is slightly different.

I ended up getting an RV cover for the bus since it will sit 'till Spring.  It fits pretty well and has strategically placed zippers for the RV door(s). The cover has UV protection so we didn't need to put the tire covers on.  My brother did the majority of the work since I'm still recovering from my new knee! Let's see how the cover holds up!
