Wayne Schell has repaired his project pages

Post by beltguy »

This post will contain a few announcements/comments.

The first is that Wayne Schell has repaired a fair amount of his amazing project thread. You will find the thread here:

https://eagles-international.net/forums ... 7e229ae09a

Several years ago we made some significant changes to the forum, and in the process, lost some links in various threads. Wayne has gone back and uploaded all of the photos for the early posts in his thread. Several of the later posts used photos hosted by Photobucket and most of you know how they raped their customers and marked up all of the photos posted anywhere on the internet. Wayne said he will pick away at those photos as time permits, but the current obnoxious Photobucket watermark allows you to see some details in the photos.

Eric Brown's project pages https://eagles-international.net/forums ... 7e229ae09a ran into the same problem with a different photo hosting company and he had to spend a ton of time correcting the tread.

Because of the decision by some terrible photo hosting vendors, we decided to host photos on this website. We made that decision in 2014 and never looked back. We even let you upload large photos. Depending on the size of the uploaded photo, we post a thumbnail photo and then the reader can click on the thumbnail to see the full size picture.

Now for the sales pitch. We have registered many new members over the last couple of years and I really want to encourage them (and the "older" members ;) ) to fully explore this wonderful site. If you are not a registered member (free) you may only be looking at the General Eagle Chat forum. While that is our major forum, there are many others as well. A good example is the project forum:

Since this post is getting a bit long, I will add more comments in another post.

Re: Wayne Schell has repaired his project pages

I mentioned in the previous post that a "must visit" forum is the Project Eagles forum. There are some great project build threads that are well worth visiting. Many have several thousand views.

There are also some "obscure" forums such as the "Eagle Mall", "Club Calendar", "Eagle History/Production Numbers", and last but not least :D "Our Other Projects".

I started the "Other Projects" forum in hopes that folks would start threads about their non-Eagle build projects. Indeed, I have started a thread in that forum discussing "Life after the Eagle is gone".

Have fun picking away at all this site has to offer.
