Sorry about the pics sideways? Can't help that. I know there's probably a few of you thinking what a waste of time! Just remember over where you are they might be cheap as chips to buy but here nothing is cheap! I only paid $12,000 AU dollars for this and belive me that was a good buy! For that money here you may get a rusted out 12 seat minivan or a volkswagon poptop camper, but you won't get within a bulls roar of a 40 foot bus. Anyway enjoy the pics lol

Tony, first of all, thank you for starting a project thread.

As for the pictures, it looks like you uploaded some fairly large files (which is fine with us - we allow that to make posting pictures easier without having to resize them). What you see on the page are mostly thumbnails. If you click on the thumbnail, magically the photo has the correct orientation.

I recently ran into the same problem on a site that i run from my wife's business. After a lot of research, it appears that this issue is unique to photos taken with an iPhone. Today what appears to be simple photo files really contain a lot of hidden information including things like GPS coordinates. Somehow those pieces of information play havoc with some software and browsers.

I have not found a simple solution to the problem.

If these photos were not taken with an iPhone, then I am really lost.

No worries Jim Thanks, i could maybe compress them and then they may upload normally but they were large, Next time i will compress them just to have them upload quicker anyway. I use a samsung phone.

You really have a unique Eagle, I do not recall seeing a center door with an exterior slide-out staircase before during the last 25 years of my exposure to Eagles. The main slide out is big, I hope the structural modifications were engineered adequately. The top header looks beefy, but I wonder about the lower reinforcement to replace the main truss arrangement. It looks like the framework is relatively rust-free, and the siding looks good. The front cap treatment with the visor molded in is unique as well. Considering that you paid the equivalent of $9500 US for it, you did quite alright. Now, all you have to do is assemble your kit.

Thanks for the input, Yes it is a big slide but it has been engineered quite well as has the staircase slide which is air operated. There is a huge steel c channel beneath the slide as well other structural elements,we have very strict laws here when it comes to getting roadworthy certificates so engineering is scrutinized, it slides in and out nicely with no movement to the bus. The slide out steps are unique and do take up some space but i figure a BBQ fitted under them would be a good use of space. There is no rust in the bus at all, all the flooring underneath is new aluminium checkerplate and steel. Yes it is a big job but doesn't scare me, having it like this is great because as it goes together i will have peace of mind knowing it won't let me down. And it will serve many other owners for years to come after my time with it. The front cap i'm not convinced i like it? It looks ok but i'm not sure about the overhang at the windscreens, inside the bus can still be seen the fibreglass destination display section and the skylight cut out sections. I am seriously considering putting it back as it was.

The real test of the framework will be when it is fully loaded and you are pounding down the road and hitting bumps and dips, and Roos. As far as your front cap goes, I think it looks okay, and it looks like it was carefully done. It is very much the equivalent of the accessory visors that many of of us have put on Eagles in the US. The difference is, yours is blended in more nicely. Plus it is more important that you be shaded down under with all the solar radiation that hits Australia. (My knowledge of Australia is based on rubbing elbows with Aussie troops on the Island of Penang off the coast of Malaysia back in the sixties).
