Well I made a trip to Eric's to pickup what he had spent my money on !
Brought back the engine, trans, rear end, radiator, trans cooler, front ac condenser, charge air cooler.
Need to change rear gear ratio and I have had continous problems with a seal on my rear so I got a complete housing from Eric . ( guaranteed not to leak , lol ).
I have enclosed a few pictures of this mess of parts. I have the 8V71 almost ready to pull. First I have to get running a fork lift I purchased from a govt auction, Figured I needed a little help to move stuff.

Hey, that looks like a project that will require some work!

Pull that 8v71 and get to work!

I pulled my old one and couldn't give it away. Got some good change at the scrapper for it though! 8-)

Paul, I hate to scrap this 8V71. It really only has 49k on a Williams Detroit
complete rebuild. Think I'll just protect it the best I can from the elements
someone will need a good one eventually.
Got a 6V92 and 740 trans and a Mt654 Trans( good for those MCI 5 guys )

Yep . Clifford changing housing to get rid of seal problem. The brake cans are on the front on this rear and on the rear on mine, makes no difference
right? enough clearance on front Is all that matters ?

I mailed the 60 series install let me know when you get it pay close attention to the transmission mount people do get away without one but my friend at WW Williams says not to hang a Allison on a series 60 with a aluminum bell housing without a support fwiw
