PAModel15's 1998 Model 15

Post by PAmodel15 »

Hey all,

I figured I would give this a try. I am going to post a photo of my bus being taped off for paint and see if it works. I do have a few other things to post if I have this right.

There I seem to have it.

I have been working on the radiator, it is the swing out style. There is a tank on the bottom that is a crossover. Here is a photo of the tank I took out.

Here is a photo of the new tank ready for finish welding.

Hopefully I will have this and the new core back and in the bus for next weekend. Then I will pull it out for photos of the new paint, Emerald Green.

OK here is a quick look. It needs a lot of little details outside but it is coming along. You can see the new radiator door ready to be reskinned. The radiator core will be here tomorrow.

It is a 50/50 bus. Looks good from 50 feet at 50 miles an hour!

Thanks all,

Finally getting to it. Tomorrow we map out the interior. I am looking forward to that. I have a friend that is a cabinet maker, sweet! He thinks this is going to be fun, that is good for me. I will post anything new.

I have not made a bunch of headway this summer but I am closer than I was. All of the wheel well hoops needed to be replaced and I am almost finished with them. The following photos are of the front wells. I took a little different approach than the factory.

At the moment I am building a rear suspension hanger. The one in front of the radiator was really bad. That is coming along well.

I am building experimental tooling to try to make fender flairs. It has been a challenge but it just might work. I will post photos of them if I can get a good one, LOL!
