Re: Manny & Darlene's Eagle 05
Good job Manny on the description of the change. I did the same thing several years ago after our trip to Alaska where the wipers had to be used a lot and I got tired of the problems with the old air wipers. I too found that Autex was a bit pricey, but in the long run was worth it. I brought mine through International Bus Parts which was even worse than buying them directly from Autex.
One thing I did was to buy new panto-graph arms and wipers. I went with longer arms which allowed longer wiper blades. That clears a larger area of the windshield. Not being a high-driver, it means my wife has a better view as the wipers are clearing a higher area of the windshield than the original wipers. Something to think about if you take on the project to convert to the electric wipers or not. BTW, the Autex people, Miguel in particular) are very helpful and cooperative to deal with.

Wanna share the $300 method with us in a General post, Clifford? Lord know I want to get rid of the air wipers on both of my buses!

Re: Manny & Darlene's Eagle 05
Manny, I got my wiper arms from Autex with the order for the electric wipers. I can't remember the length, but if you wish, I will be happy to measure them. The combination of the longer arms and the longer blades makes a big difference.
I am sure that Clifford is right in that if you shop around there are other sources.

Manny,
The arms are 32 inches long and the wipers are 26 inches. They clear the windshield to about 1 1/2 inches from the top.

NEW KITCHEN BACKSPLASH
We've been noticing the new style for backsplashes and decided ours was starting to look outdated and needed a facelift. We especially noticed in the higher-end Buses and RVs at a recent RV Show in Tampa, FL the new style using stone, tile, and glass...so we've been keeping our eyes open and found a style we really liked at a GREAT price! $4.75 a sheet compared to $14.95/sheet. Also had the opportunity to hire an EXCELLENT tile man from our church to install it. It took him only about four hours to do. Would have taken me four days or maybe four months We really love it!
