Most 13 speeds have separate range and splitter buttons. Yours appears to have one valve that controls both air shifted gear sets, based on the label on the shift lever.

In the early days of 13spds, there was one knob with three button positions, then due to driver error of "pre-selecting" was changed a couple of times, and at one time there wasy the High/Low lever on the shift lever for "range" and then the button on the shift knob became a two postion affair to "split" the gears once in the high range. FWIW, all the newer 13s (& 18s) have one shift knob with two buttons, one for range selection and one to split.

Well it was nice enough to climb under the bus today and check for a tag on the trans. There wasnt one that I could find. All that I could find was what appears to be a date stamp of 11-12-82. Above the date stamp it had a "tf" inside of a triangle.

I snapped a few pics if someone cares to post them.

I don't like to post my email address without modifying it a bit. You have to remove the "at" and insert the "@" and do the same with the "dot". Sorry, I think that messed you up.

Thanks I appreciate it! Hopefully someone will let me know what I have. I cleaned off near;ly th ewhole tranny and didnt find any info tags. The letters that you see in the one pic is up at the top near all the shifter linkage.

On another note My family and I spent our afternoon taking seats outs. For now we are going to take all out except for the front three rows. We are hoping to keep the bus as useable as possible as we convert it.

Another question.... Do most of you guys gut the original ac units and just run roof units or what? I had planned on installing two roof ac units in the place of the factory roof vents. Good idea or bad? We dont plan on installing any heat at this time unless I buy roof units that also have heat.
