As of 12/1/2021, a major update of the forum software was accomplished
Update: 4/20/2024: The Eagles email account at GoDaddy no longer works. I have set up a gmail account as a workaround: eaglesinternational.email@gmail.com (This link seems to work for my outlook email, but may not work for other email platforms. If it does not load, copy and paste the link in your platform.)
Update: 4/27/2024: I am getting some SQL error pages as I click on different areas of our forum. Using the back arrow and hitting the link again usually loads the page. I will wait for a day or two before I have GoDaddy look into the problem.
update 4/28/2024 Worked on problem and crashed both the website and forum. Have now restored and will work on it in a day or two

Jason and Stephanie's 1966 Silver Eagle 04
I know there is a thread about our 04 in "General Eagle Chat" but since it's a project I figured I would start a thread here as well. Usually I take most of the pictures and would be happy to take requests along the way if you need more detail of anything. I may get Jason to step in from time to time to explain what we're doing because I know little to nothing about the technical aspects of the bus.
Hopefully this isn't too repetitive.
Exterior:
Interior (before):
View fore to aft
Kitchen cabinets begging to be replaced
Hallway to bedroom
Bedroom
Bath
Aft to fore
Interior Kitchen (during remodel):
Window box over counter
Spicerack (We're debating chain or polished nickel on the shelves to keep the spices from flying)
Sans cabinet doors and final touches
Today I will be working on sealing the cabinet doors and staining/sealing the window ledge behind the counter. I still need to put a couple more coats of sealer on the cabinets and counter top before it's done and I'll try to get that done today as well.
More pics to come when it's all done!
Also, if anyone is interested in pictures of the bays let me know. I haven't taken any yet but I would be happy to oblige before we start work on them if you're curious.

Not repetitive at all! This is exactly what we want to see here. Looking good!

Thanks Paul, glad you like it.
The look we're going for is "boat interior".
We have a friend with a sailboat that has latches like the one below to keep all of his cabinets secured and I'd like to use them in the bedroom when we get around to fixing it up.
I think it would add a nice touch!

Really a nice looking bus. I highly recommend that you protect those windshields with your life.

Thanks Boomer, unfortunately, the windshields are already cracked like crazy! It looks horrible. We found out the hard way after we bought it how rare they are. We're waiting on word from Belgium to find out if there are any spares out there. Any suggestions on custom windshields?

Re: Jason and Stephanie's 1966 Silver Eagle 04
So, I've been working on the cabinet doors today and messing around online while waiting for stain and sealer to dry. (basically being as lazy as possible when I can) The kids are home from school cause of snow. Finally got them dressed only to find out they have no clean pants.
12 year old-"I thought you washed the clothes the other day?"
Me-"Yeah I started it but your dad needed help on the bus."
8 year old-"I can see this is going to be a problem."
Yes indeed it just might be.

Sounds like a good time to show them how the washing machine works, don't you. That way it frees you up to do more important things, like working on the bus!

Re: Jason and Stephanie's 1966 Silver Eagle 04
Almost there...
Here are the outlets in the false bottom cabinets:
Molding
To do list for kitchen:
Plumbing
Electric
Knobs and catches
Propane
Window ledge
We also discovered today that we still have leaks in the da** windows behind the valance where we already thought we sealed the windows. We were wrong, thanks to the snow for pointing that out.
Time for a drink. *here here!*

Try to explain that to kids. Also, I have no time to teach them to do it themselves.
