How to post your Project Eagle OLD

UPDATE 9/15/2022: This is a very old post and we have made many changes in the past few years. The main change is that we now host photos on our server. I am going to modify this post using "letter strike through" to make the update.
This is a set of guidelines that we suggest so that people can get the most out of the new forum.
When starting your Project Eagle thread, use your Forum name and the year and model of your bus as the thread title. (ie: Songman's 1989 Model 20)
This one thread will be your project thread all through the building of your bus. For example if you start your project by taking out the seats and stripping the interior, when the time comes for you to do a roof raise or caps you will not start a new thread but will come right back here to the original one and just add to it. By the time you bus is done, you will have a complete conversion history all in one place.
The thing that people usually have the most trouble with on forums is how to post pictures. To post a picture on an internet forum, you have to have the picture stored somewhere on the internet. You can't post a picture on a forum directly from your home computer. In most cases, you get a certain amount of storage space with whomever you have your internet access with. (AOL, Yahoo, RoadRunner, etc) If that is the case, you can host your pictures on that space and link them to the forum. If that is not the case, there are free services online that allow you to host photos for linking to internet forums. Photobucket and ImageShack are two of the largest.

In some cases, like Imageshack, these services will resize your photos to the proper size for sharing on the internet. If you decide to host with ImageShack, I would suggest that you choose the option for resizing to 640x480. These services have very user friendly interfaces for uploading and keeping up with your images. They also usually have a link that you can just copy and paste into your forum message for the photo to show.
Some of you may already have server space where you keep photos. If that is the case you are probably familiar with how to upload and link the files. For this forum, please make your photos 72 dpi, and between 400x300 and 640x480 pixels.
