HUH?!
Last year I moved the CB from the drivers side to the dash. The hole directly underneath was the old location for the AM-FM radio, which has since been removed.
I recently filled that hole with a new stainless steel plate, toggle switches for dash fans, add on lighting and a accessory connection (cigarette lighter). The radio has been moved to a better location, where the operator (driver) doesn't have to look down. I like things handy and this seems to have solved that dilemma.
Now there is a trade off, and that is "bleed over" both radio's in such close proximity to each other causes this. You have to turn one off and use the other, not much of a problem, when you consider you are no longer having to look down constantly to fiddle with things, which we all know is not a good idea.
Believe it turned out rather well, the radio was $150 and the new speakers (we have four now) and additional $50.
Now all I need is a good two lane, no traffic and I can crank it up or irritate the fizz out of someone, and it is all within arms length.
See you in the fast lane
