The records were a bit spotty towards the last years of production. Even if there was a record for your Eagle, all you would find out is who the bus was sold to when new. If your Eagle came equipped with seats then it is not likely that it was sold to some famous star, and many bands and celebrities leased their buses from various companies. I have two entertainer Eagles that were sold as shells to conversion companies (Senators Coach and Florida Coach) that are not on the existing production lists. My 1984 Model 10 has lettering on the custom switch panel that says "Custom Built by Senators Rentals, Inc.", and lists the names of the principal craftsmen that performed the work. I found tapes and CD's from various groups, and pictures that fell down behind couches and walls that indicated various country and gospel groups that I never heard of. Barring details like this, you may never know who owned your Eagle through the decades, it is what it is, and the current condition is what matters most.

My daughter's 79 which is pictured in my PFP was originally sold seated to the US Government. Was curious about the 86. Especially because 1986 was the year I first rode in an Eagle and still remember today seeing the eagle on the dash.

Thank you for your reply.

68 should be a 4 digit vin. Occasionally ‘bus and car’ will come online he could tell you a lot of history of your bus

Sorry, but I'm totally clueless on this coach.

Is that 'VIN' number close to your mileage by any chance?

Any clue to it's age?

Open the main engine door. Then look in the lower right corner of the opening. Look at the framing right behind the bumper.

What you want to see is a small metal plate welded to the chassis. It should be going diagonally upwards on the passenger side.

That's where the factory put it on all European and early Brownsville buses. That may have changed once VIN numbers became
mandatory.

If that doesn't work, keep searching in that area and also above the driver's left side window.

Good Luck & Happy Holidays!!!!!!!
