Walter, i actually like the look of the 01 rear bumpers better then the 05 and later, believe it or not 8-)
So they will stay stock for now.

That said, maybe we are just tired of buying parts... lol

I can sympathize with that, but finding replacements for 01 parts will be more difficult now, and in the future. There is a Model 01 front grille section for sale on eBay currently, that has been there for a while. The bumper sections are harder to find, so don't back into any hard bits.

I got excited when the generator showed up today 8-)

I was hoping a little to see her run on Saturday, I just don't know if that will happen... :?

Mason what size is that muffler? I tried to run mine with out a muffler on some bad advice and even thought i ran it thru the roof you could hear the thing a long ways away. I am hurting for space. I found a glass pack that will fit but not sure it will quiet it enough.

Is that generator computer controlled? If it is the ground wire is on a bolt that holds the lifting eye on. The terminal is not that strong and sometimes breaks when it was tightened . I would take the lifting eye off and put the connector between the eye and the block.Check the connector and change if necessary

Wayne, it is a wrico generator, I don't think it is computer controlled, I can check.

And that is the muffler Wrico sent me, same size as exhaust, maybe 1 or 1.5"? It should be compatible.

Also, I will be building a compartment around the generator, not the other way around, so I should ( )have space to route the muffler easily.

Wayne:. Does not look to be a computerized unit

Approximate dimensions without radiator

Length: 36 inches. Wrico did recommend leaving the genset end 4 inches from the wall which would make 40 inches

Width: 20 inches

Height: 25 inches

As some may know, coolant was leaking out of the bottom of water pump, I was told that the seal between coolant and engine oil was bad, it leaks out bottom of pump instead of going into oil.

Here we go again!

So now we have a nice shiny water pump, and no more leaks!
