Interesting "problem" with the website and forum

Post by beltguy »

A reader pointed out to Marty Golden that the eagle in the header of both the website and forum is looking over it's left shoulder rather that the correct orientation of looking over the right shoulder.

I took a quick look at the software that we use for the website, but quickly figured out that to change the orientation is not a simple task.

For the technically inclined:

The look and feel of both the website and forum is defined by the "theme". The theme is a software program that can be a standardized package defined by any one of hundreds of off-the-shelf themes or it can be a custom software program. In our case to get the custom look and feel, our theme was created by a previous webmaster using a third party theme creating software package.

Bottom line, to change the orientation of the Eagle will probably have to wait until we make our long awaited upgrade/conversion.

I thought I had heard somewhere that two different emblems were used, heads facing the opposite. I have no idea who said that. Maybe Daniel Lenz knows or some of the other Eagle guru's.

Well, James worked his magic and the Eagle head in several locations on the website and forum is now looking to the right.
