Yea Clifford, I have been reading about all your problems with the batteries and yes they are expensive, that's what got me thinking about the fork lift battery.
It is designed for industrial use and I think it will hold up better and be less of a hassle than a big bank of 6 volts. If You have already had a similar setup that lasted that long that gives me one more reason to give it a shot.
If scrap steel goes back up I can sell the little fork truck, less the battery and get most of my money back! :lol:
