We have made some good friends this summer with other volunteers in Colorado. We are trying to get them to come see the event known as Q.
I am guessing the Rally in the Desert of Quartzsite will begin prior to the opening weekend of the Big Tent Event Jan. 17.
I seem to remember some plans were made in January but I do not know what they were.
Not being pushy just trying to get together with old and new friends.

You're right--I guess it's about time to start thinking about the Q! The 15th-18th sounds good to me. . .or the weekend before works. Maybe some other folks will weigh-in.

Dave St. John--what say you? Heck, maybe you'll show-up in a new bus!

Art, I am so used to FB that I looked for the 'like' button on the new bus comment. 15-18 sounds fine to me. Just need someone to get donuts and, coffee and build a fire. that is a fine rally.

This just in... we will be doing the "Dam Gathering" again this year at the Lake Mead RV Village 14-16 Nov, swing on by on the way to the Q. We too have been thinking of making it down to Quartzsite.

Van sorry but this year our first Granddaughter is graduating from College.(or so she said, also said that last year) So we will not be leaving the Wichita area till mid- December.

Anything further on Quartzsite this year? Cindy & I are setting up some travels plans and trying to line-up some dates when we can be outta town for awhile.

At the Branson Rally it was announced that Mel Wick and Donna Lee were going to be the hosts. I think the dates are 1/15-18/15. I have a call into Mel to confirm the details. I will post them here and also on the events forum as well as the events tab on the website.

Jim and Art are right. The dates planned sometime back are the 15th thru the 18th. This is consistent with past rallies, in that we get there for a couple of days before the big event (RV show opening), and then head out on Sunday the day after.

Just heard from Mel. He is hosting a Rotary rally in Texas.

He confirmed that the rally is 1/15-18/2015. He said that folks are welcome to come early and stay late. The "camping" fee is $5 per day (no hook-ups). Same place as last year. He is working with George and Glenda to arrange a 4 wheel drive trip. He does not know if there will be a fee. As soon as the Rotary rally winds down they (Mel and Donna Lee) will finalize the details.
