I figured since I've been lurking around here for a while I should go ahead and start a project page.

Ok, I had to ammuse myself a little with that first pic.
I'm sure most of you regulars here have already figured what our bus looks like in it's current condition seeing how there are already some pics floating around here of it (oilslicks project page). Once we get it home and the conversion actually begins I will post more pics.

That dosen't look anything like the bus I have at my shop!!" LOL

Eric, that must mean you already raised the roof for me?! LOL

Were planning on leaving around the end of this week to bring our eagle home...finally! The issue with no power turned out to be a very simple fix, it was the result of the throttle return spring being too stiff and not letting it open up properly. Once the spring was removed it ran like a scalded dog so after going ahead and having the thermostats changed and the brakes adjusted the old bird has a clean bill of health (so we hope). If nothing happens we should have our eagle in the driveway by Saturday. If something does come up along the trip I'll be posting here for tech advice, otherwise I'll drop a line when we get home.

Here is your list of stuff I think you should have for the trip home:

1. Delo 40wt. A couple gal.
2. Cash
3. Coveralls.
4. Cash.
5. Blocks of wood for support.
6. Cash.
7. Big sockets and wrenches.
8. Cash.
9. A small air compressor.
10. Cash.
11. A small generator to run compressor.
12. Cash.
13. A LARGE fire extinguisher.
14. Cash.
15. A couple 20 ton jacks.
16. Cash.
17. A 1-1/5" socket and long bar (to remove tire if needed.)
18. Cash.
19. A couple good flashlights, and a light powered by gen.
20. Cash.
21. A sleeping bag
22. Cash
23. Food (if stranded!!)
24. Cash.
25. Cell phone.
26. Cash.
27. Several changes of clothes (if stranded??)
28. Cash.
29. Emergency med. kit! (In case stranded under bus!!)
30. Emergency highway markers set of three.
31. Cash.
32. HEAVY COAT ( IT IS FREEZIN HERE!!)
33. Cash.
34. A small 12v pump ( to prime engine if needed)
35. Cash.
36. If possible a couple 11R24.5 tires mounted on stud pilot rims.

Did I mention CASH?? I will list more if I think of anything else!!

Thanks for the encouragement guys... I'm missing most of the even numbered items on your list Eric.

We made it home with the bus today and had a nearly perfect trip. The bus ran perfectly even up the biggest climbs the temp gauge never rose above 190. The only time I seen it that hot was going up the pass between Nashville and Chattanooga on I-24 the rest of the time it stayed 180. It seemed like it found a sweet spot between 45-50 mph on the pass and pretty much sustained that speed all the up.
A couple hundred miles or so into the trip we noticed the oil leak, lol. I pulled over and checked it a LOT and ended up going through almost 4 gallons in the last 400 miles of the trip. What a mess, lol.
I was very impressed with how good it drove, nearly effortless to steer and a pleasure to drive. Thanks for selling us a great machine Kevin! It feels really good to have an eagle sitting in my driveway.
Now the real fun begins! I will post more pics as soon as we start getting into the conversion.

5 GALLONS???? Where is it leaking? That's a LOT of oil!!!
