Ok....got some pics of the motor and underneath. They aren't pretty. Any advise would be helpful. There are pics of the fuses too...got me scratchin my head. There is no labeling to follow and no guide in the manual. Anyone got a clue???
On a better note, we put the new flooring down in the kitchen and bath area, its beautiful. Carpet is going in this weekend. Should have pics of that up next week, I hope.
WHAT IS THIS??? we can't figure out what this tank controls? any ideas? lol (door? horn? wipers?.....were lost)
this is the front air valve that got busted off. having problems tapping it out...losing power and isn't shifting right....help!
Is it just me or does it look like something is missing here??? HELP!
this one is us...the crazies that took on this project. and rust???? I don't see no rust..LOL

Was wondering what has happened to you guys, guess you've been busy huh.
I'll take a crack at a couple of your questions.
First: The tank you are wondering about is for the front brakes! Your accessory tank for the horn, wipers etc. should be directly under your seat in a compartment. At least I think it should be there!
You definitely need to plug that hole in your mitre box, stuff it with a rag or something. It should hold your dipstick to check fluid level.
The broken valve might be another story. Soak it with PB Blaster and then insert an easy out. It will be difficult on brass, as it does not grab hold very well. You might be able to use a small chisel and break it apart to remove it. Good Luck!

Yes that is the tank under the drivers seat. It doesn't appear to be hooked up to anything...LOL. Front brakes huh? how did we make it home? Tapping out that relief valve is driving us nuts. We'll keep working on it.
Question? we are having problems with the air shifter (i'll see if i can get a pic up this weekend sometime). It doesn't always want to change gears(even though clutch feels fine and grabs good). We had problems getting it split gears(OD/Low/Direct). (now remember, i'm a dumb-butt when it comes to mechanics)
I'm hoping it will be fixed once we get that new valve in. we keep losing air pressure.
We couldn't get the wipers going...now I know why.
Where is the 3rd tank? We can't find it....I know sounds stupid. Shouldn't there be a back tank?????
Yes...we really are doing this blind. All of you "Eagles" are our personal mechanics.... Please don't start sending us bills.....LOL
What would we do without you???
Thanks everyone and please be patient and understanding to our stupidity.

Ok, more stupid questions.
This valve is located in passenger front wheel well. It appears to be an air tank shut-off valve, right???
This is our wonderful E-Brake handle...its stuck and we can't get it to release now...any ideas?

If that tank in your previous post is indeed the accessory tank, then you have another tank for the front brakes. Which should be between your front wheels up above.
The valve you mention in the passenger wheel well is an air bleeder valve for moisture. We have one in the same spot on our 01. Once your coach is aired up, turn the handle, it should just release a short burst of air, then shut off. Then you move the handle back to the start position. By your position, I hope you're OK.
I can't help much on the E brake handle, never seen one like that. it looks like our battery disconnect switch lever. Where is that lever located, it's hard to tell from the picture?
From the air compressor you should have a small ping tank, then a wet tank, then a dry tank for the rear brakes on the passenger side. Then up front a tank for your front brakes and an accessory tank. Look up under the drive axle on both sides, you should see the wet tank on the driver side, then the dry tank on the curb side. The ping tank is harder to see, you will have to crawl, "Down Under" to see that one. It's only about 6" tall.
I can't help you with the air linkage, sorry!
Questions are free, it's when you go to fix them you'll see the bill!

Re: 1964 Silver Eagle Model 01 #6555
After many many hours of work and frustration, I'm freaking out. It's been slow-go. I got officially laid off. My measely unemployment check is not cutting it. Christmas is going to be rough for the kids. It might be IOU's. (I'm sure they will believe that one). We thought we were making some major headway....but we shouldn't be thinking. After two weeks of not having time to work on it, we walked into a disaster. A few good storms blew through with wind and rain hard enough it broke the seals on a couple windows. Apparently not a good install by the previous owners. Water had gushed in and ruined the wall, carpet, pad....everything in the front 1/4 of the bus. We are now ripping everything out back to metal and starting over yet again. When we get a break in the rain we are going to have to pull the windows and reseal them. I am sooooooo frustrated. I'm one more disaster away from putting a for sale as-is sign on it. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!
