Bustyme 1983 Silver Eagle Model 10

Post by Bustyme »

Welcome to our second Eagle bus experience. This is a 1983 Model 10 that started life as a west coast Trailways Bus in LA. It was converted in 1994-1997 in Medford, Oregon. Randy & Kelley purchased it in March of 2011. We are looking forward to sharing all of the build photos with all our Eagle bus enthusiasts as we develop our project thread......stay tuned. :D :D

I am pretty sure I know that coach too. If it is the one I think it is, the people that owned it took extraordinarily good care of it. Besides that, they are nice people.

Thanks Everyone,

We had Paul & Becky Lawry stop and stay over the weekend on their trip north to Oregon. We had a great time and got a lot of Bus time in. Nice folks! I took advantage of having Paul show me how to do our project thread and the ins & outs of posting on the EI forum....took me long enough!! I am going to scan all the build photos (Paul's suggestion) from the PO (Everett & Barb Wolfe) so everyone can see the phenomenal job they did on the conversion. We will also try to document the updates and changes as we make it fit Kelley & I. Thank-you Paul and Becky for getting the "juices" flowing again!!

More to follow soon!

Randy and I have been corresponding about his bus project page. The following is the latest correspondence which includes his Photobucket link:
Jim,

Here is the link to my photobucket account that has all the pics I have online of all my major bus projects. The M10 build pics from Everett, the front end rebuild, and my Aquahot replacement project. It also has some pics of the 1966 M01 that we still have! The vent pics were when I built a closeable exhaust vent for the microwave oven/stovetop fan in the 01. It works great since the 01 has a residential oven/stove which puts out a lot of CO!

Anyway, not sure what to do with them. Maybe you can post them into my project page or download individual pictures into specific topics. I really want to get them sorted and tagged with an explanation on each picture but that is a lot of work & time I don’t have right now. I have a lot more pics of other bus projects that would probably be of interest to other bus nuts….maybe I’ll be able to get my head around them sooner rather than later.

Let me know what you think.

Regards,

Randy Coons
It was great to correspond with Randy and look at some of the construction photos of their beautiful bus. It also sounds, like so many of us, he is time challenged :D
