Hwy 16 from Worland to Buffalo, WY

Post by Jim H »

Planning a trip back out to Cody, WY this summer and wondering if Worland to Buffalo on Hwy 16 would be recommended in a 8v92 powered Eagle with a Jake. Drove though Yellowstone National Park 2 years ago and out the east gate to Cody, it was a "cake walk" with a jake and low gear. Our other traveling party and Denise seemed concerned with no guard rails and steep drop offs, but I thought is was wonderful! This time I'll ride it on a Harley!
Looking at driving over to watch "the movie" at the Devils Tower, should I just ride the bike over from Cody, (long way!) or will this be okay in the bus?

Clifford, Thank you! Not much information on the internet about east bound travel that I could see. Most folks post about traveling to Yellowstone from I90 and seems 14 and 14A are not for large heavy rigs due to the steep grade, west bound anyway.

It is not bad takes a little over 2 hours to travel the 90 miles you reach about 8,000 ft at the highest point we were never in hurry anyways,Some of the roads in Idaho were a lot worse we been on
