Greg,

We used to have electrical diagrams for the 05/10 here in the Technical data. I provided them. Try looking around there. If you can't find them, I could email them to you.

It is difficult to diagnose problems from descriptions from the web site. I think a likely culprit is probably in your rear electrical compartment. Look there for the start relay. It looks like a standard Ford relay. As someone suggested, jump across it and see if the problem disappears.

I don't think the A/C problem caused the D/C problems.
