Anyone know what type of rubber will replace the bay hinge rubber on an Eagle 10?
One of our bay hinges is starting to crack.
Thanks!

Re: Eagle 10 bay hinge rubber
I remember a conversion with Jeff at Jefferson and he said he was getting low ( maybe out) of that rubber and did not know if he was getting any more. Call Ed at jefferson and see if they have any. That is the the only source I know of. Maybe someone knows of another.

Re: Eagle 10 bay hinge rubber
I will check tomorrow to be sure, but I think I have a roll of the hinge rubber. I don't need it anymore as I have cafe doors.
if I have it, what is a reasonable price. I don't believe in gouging, but at least fair.

Bill, busfixx has it for 1.56 a foot. I was going to order 30 feet from them. Not sure what the difference is in quality or if it's a widely available part or not. Let me know what you got. If it saves me $$ in shipping Ill take it

Re: Eagle 10 bay hinge rubber
Sean,
I have it. It is a roll sufficient to do all the doors. Without measuring, which of course I can do, and using the 57" per bay width, the roll should be about 30+ feet (6 bays x 5 feet each). I don't recall when I bought it, but it was before we re-skinned the bus in 2002. It has been stored in a closed container with no exposure to sun or weather. It looks good to me. Check around to see if anyone has a problem with the shelf life.
Send me a PM if you are interested, and we can deal on price. I won't rip you off.
