POWER STEERING SUPPORT BRACKET

Post by SmoothJazz »

Eagle International had a Field Service Bulletin to check the power steering support bracket for possible cracking back on June 30, 1983. It affects all Model 10 and 10S coaches built prior to June 30, 1983. Paul is going to try to post the actual bulletin with a drawing depicting the areas of concern. This is very important as this bracket is what your steering gear is mounted to. Not all of the customers back then paid attention to these bulletins, so I figured I would make all of you aware of this before anyone had a catastrophic failure.

Thank you Paul for posting the documents. I guess since Wayne has learned how to post pictures, maybe I should too.

And here is a pic of the actual parts used in the repair with their coresponding part numbers on them. I got all these parts in from Jefferson's to weld in a new power steering unit that I got from Eagle while Dan was there. If any one has any trouble finding the part numbers I can give them to you off the invoice I have.

Thanks

I wanted to bump this to the top so that some of our new members would be aware of a major issue that some Eagles had.
