Wow, I am sure glad I started this thread - great info.

As I understand it, Eagle had a "recall" on the steering box mount on some buses. I think the fix consisted of some extra reinforcement of the mounting bracket. I have wanted to check mine, but never seem to find the time.

Anyone have the details?

Jim,

I am unable to access my docs that I had in Vista, now using Mint. I seem to remember David Lenz sending a copy of that change to me. You might contact him.

Ky Steve is doing that upgrade there is not much to it at least not worth what Jerry and Ed wants for the piece of metal I did my own,Steve bought his from Jefferson

Paul's and Steve documentation are are both in this section fwiw.

Me I would worry more about the center bolt that holds the adjustment rod for the front end that is a joke I have had one fail before and is not a pretty sight and a PITA to repair huh Chris

Jim,

I have the entire upgrade kit documented with PDF's and DXF files for cutting the parts. Dan Bowers gave me a complete kit he bought and we documented it. I have all the templates of all the pieces including the hardware. I will email the files to you and you can get them on the forum. I'll also send you a picture of the upgrade as installed on our M10 right before I cut it all off to mount the new steering box! It shows all the gussets without the box so it would be easy for someone to tell if their bus has the upgrade.
We can cut the pieces out but I'd have to figure out what it will cost.....it was over a year ago when I did it for Dan!

Hope this helps

One of our new members was doing some searching and found this thread, but reported broken links.

This is a very important thread and I think I have repaired the links.
