Unique experience

Post by Liberty »

LeRoy and I are fairly unusual in our known world of Eagle owners. We have been living full time in our 01 Eagle, Liberty, since May of 2010. We have met very few people who full time in an Eagle. Bill and Arlette Klein, Mel Wick and Donna Lee Cole, and Richard and Sherri Fosse are some of them and we enjoy sharing time with them occasionally.

RVers, full timers and bus owners are like overlapping circles in the language we speak. RVers share common problems and a small variety of floor plans. Full timers talk about RV parks and attractions in various areas of the country, easy routes for big rigs, where to get your hair cut and how to keep up with grandkids long distance. But bus owners? That's a whole different story. Sure, the guys talk about engines, generators and suspension and the women talk about food and hobbies, but inside each rig the similarity ends. Each bus is a unique creation of the owner, more or less exactly what they had in mind, no carbon copies anywhere.

I wrote about our Branson experience in my blog, so I thought I'd put a link to it below. (When you get to the part about family you may or may not be interested.) You can follow this more or less regular blog about our travels at

Anne, Thank You for taking time to post your article. When I am around you and LeRoy it becomes very clear that you are having the time of your life traveling around the country. Safe travels and I hope our paths will cross again soon.

Anne, thanks for documenting some of the details of the rally. Great pictures!

As usual, Byron and Betty hosted a great event.

Over the years, we have met several folks who full time in their Eagles. It would be fun to develop a list of those folks.

Two that come to mind are Al and Helen O'Neil and Sean and Angie who travel full time with 4 kids http://www.herdofturtles.org/
